About This 10 Day Luxury Flying Safari
This luxury flying safari in Kenya swaps long road transfers for short scheduled flights, so each day starts and ends in the wild. You fly from Wilson Airport to Amboseli for two nights beneath Kilimanjaro, north to the private Loisaba Conservancy in Laikipia for three and finally to the Masai Mara for three.
Loisaba is the part most guests remember. As a private conservancy it allows what the national parks do not: walking safaris with Samburu guides, night drives, camel and horseback outings and nights under the stars on the famous star beds. In the Mara your camp arranges bush breakfasts and sundowners on the open plains.
Every camp on this route is a five star tented camp or lodge with only a few rooms. All internal flights, full board, park and conservancy fees and most activities are included, so once you land in Nairobi there is very little left to think about. See more safari packages.

You are met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to a boutique hotel in Karen to rest after the flight.

A morning flight from Wilson Airport to Amboseli, about 45 minutes, and lunch at camp.
An evening game drive takes you out among the elephant herds with Kilimanjaro behind them.

THE ROUTE
Where This Safari Takes You
Nairobi → flight to Amboseli → flight to Loisaba → flight to the Masai Mara → flight to Nairobi. Four scheduled light aircraft flights, no long road transfers.
How To Get There
This safari starts and ends in Nairobi. Fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). On day 10 you land at Wilson Airport around midday, so book a flight home from the late afternoon onwards.
All internal travel is by scheduled light aircraft: four flights in all, each under two hours. Light aircraft allow about 15 kg per person including hand luggage, packed in soft bags. We can store extra luggage in Nairobi.

About 15 kg per person including hand luggage, in soft bags without wheels or frames. Extra luggage can be stored in Nairobi or an extra seat can be booked.
As a private conservancy it allows walking safaris, night drives, camel and horseback outings and the star beds, none of which are possible in the national parks.
Game drives are shared with other guests at each camp, usually in small groups. A private vehicle can be added at each camp at an extra cost.
June to October for the migration in the Masai Mara and dry weather in Laikipia, and December to March for green landscapes and newborn animals.
