Safari Overview
This is a 3 Days safari to the Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo West is a 4-5 hours’ drive from Nairobi and 1-2 hours if you opt for a train. Tsavo West National Park is a beautiful wilderness, from the millions of gallons of crystal-clear water from the Mzima Springs not to mention the Shetani lava flows. Tsavo West offers some of the most unforgettable game viewing and wildlife include Hippos, lions, cheetah, elephant, rhino, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant. Bird species include the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler. You will stay at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge/Salt Lick Safari Lodge. Located in Kenya’s Tsavo West National Park is Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge. Guests are welcomed by the beautiful views of elephants, buffalo and other plains game drinking and cooling off in the water hole. / Situated on a private game reserve adjacent to the national park is Salt Lick Safari Lodge. The lodge is ranked as the most photographed safari lodge in the world.
You will be picked from your Nairobi Hotel/Airport and Depart for your Tsavo West National Park safari at 7.00 am. At Emali town you will have a brief stopover for a health break. You can also opt for a train from Nairobi to Emali. Arriving at the Emali station, you will be picked by our driver guide and head to Tsavo West National Park. Arrive at your lodge just in time for lunch. In the afternoon drive to the park for a game drive. Tsavo West National Park is famously known for the red elephants, Oryx and Gerenuk among other mammal’s species and birdlife. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge/Salt Lick Safari Lodge.
You will wake up to a morning game drive before returning to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast return to the park for even more adventure with packed lunch boxes. During your game drive you will possibly spot the big five such as lions, leopards ,elephants, Cape buffalo, eastern black rhinoceros and many more. At lunch time, you will rest and have a picnic lunch set in the bushes of the park. Enjoy your meals as well as the cool breeze and nature of the park. During the afternoon game drive you will encounter many animals such as elephants, giraffes, lions, hartebeests and many more. In the evening drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. This being your last day in Tsavo West, wake up to a sumptuous breakfast before driving back to Nairobi/board a train from Emali town to Nairobi. Upon arrival you will be dropped off at your hotel/ Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to board your flight back home. Breakfast at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge/Salt Lick Safari Lodge.
