Safari Overview
This is a 3 Days safari to the Tsavo East National Park. Tsavo East is a 4-5 hours’ drive from Nairobi and 1-2 hours if you opt for a train. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is hosts most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust – Rhino, buffalo, lion, red elephant, leopard, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk, pods of hippo, crocodile, and bird life with around 500 recorded species. Tsavo East also boasts of the 300-kilometer-long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world not to mention the dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the waters of Galana River. You will stay at Ashnil Aruba Lodge. Located in the heart of Tsavo East National Park is Ashnil Aruba Lodge. The lodge is located on the banks of Aruba Dam.
You will be picked up from your Nairobi Hotel/Airport and Depart for your Tsavo East National Park safari at 7.00 am. At Emali town you will have a brief stopover for a health break. You can also opt for a train from Nairobi to Emali. Arriving at the Emali station you will be picked by our driver guide and head to Tsavo East National Park. Arrive at your lodge just in time for lunch. In the afternoon drive to the park for a game drive. Tsavo East National Park is famously known for its dust-covered red elephants and maneless lions. The Park offers a magical wild experience of watching different wildlife species. In the evening drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. You will wake up to a morning game drive before returning to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast return to the park for even more adventure with packed lunch boxes. During your game drive you will possibly spot elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, zebras and many more. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.
This being your last day in Tsavo East, wake up to a sumptuous breakfast before driving back to Nairobi/board a train from Emali town to Nairobi. Upon arrival you will be dropped off at your hotel/ Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to board your flight back home. Breakfast at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.
