Safari Overview
This is a 2 Days safari to the Lake Nakuru national park. Nakuru is a 3-4 hours’ drive from Nairobi. The lake boasts not only of the flamingos but also approx. 400 other species of birds. Other wildlife can also be found in the park. This includes the Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon, waterbuck, reedbuck, and many species. You will stay at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge/Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. Located on a range of hills that form the Great Rift Valley is Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. The lodge also overlooks Lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park. /Set along “The Lion Hill” in the Lake Nakuru National Park is Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. It offers the most scenic and spectacular views of the Lake and the park. The lodge offers a wide range activity ideal for the family.
You will be picked up in your Nairobi Hotel/Airport and Depart for your Lake Nakuru safari at 7.30 am. At the Great Rift Valley view point, you will have a brief stopover to see the spectacular views of the expansive floor of the rift valley and also take photos. You arrive at Lake Nakuru and proceed to your Lodge for check in. After lunch you proceed for an afternoon game drive at the park to see the hundreds of animals including lion, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbuck, reedbuck, leopard, black and white rhino, baboon. Later in the evening return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Lunch and dinner at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge/Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.
Early morning breakfast before proceeding to Lake Nakuru National Park for a half day game drive with packed lunch boxes. You start off around the lake where there are numerous flamingos, white pelicans, ibis, plovers, storks, herons and many others. Enjoy your game driving until lunch time. Later in the afternoon depart Lake Nakuru national park for Nairobi. Drop off at your Nairobi hotel or at the airport for your outbound flight.
