This is a 3 days safari to the Samburu National Reserve, Northern part of Kenya on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro river. Samburu is approximately 5-6 hours’ drive from Nairobi. Samburu National Reserve is home to rare animal species such as the Grevy Zebra, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx Reticulated Giraffe, and Somali Ostrich. It is also home to Elephants, Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. Birds of over 450 species are also common in the reserve. You will stay at Samburu Sopa Lodge/Sarova Shaba Game Lodge. Located inside the Samburu National Reserve is Samburu Sopa Lodge. The lodge is built to reflect the architectural heritage of the local Samburu communities who make up the majority of the work force at the lodge. / Located in a natural oasis in Shaba National Reserve is Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is. The lodge offers an authentic experience to the guests with accommodation near the banks of Ewaso Nyiro river.
You will wake up to an early morning game drive before returning to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast return to the reserve for a full day game drive with packed lunch boxes. You will possibly sight unique wildlife species like Oryx, Gerenuk, Gravy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich and other wild animals’ peculiar to this semi-arid region. The game drives will be along Ewaso Nyiro river where most of the wild animals are found. Bird lovers are not left out as the reserve boasts of different species of birds. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge/Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.
This being your last day in Samburu, you will wake up to a sumptuous breakfast then drive back to Nairobi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to board your flight back home. Breakfast at Samburu Sopa Lodge/Sarova Shaba Game Lodge Camp.
You will be picked up from your Nairobi Hotel/Airport and Depart for your Samburu safari at 7.00 am. You will have a brief stopover enroute to view Mount Kenya with its Snow-capped peaks. You arrive at the lodge just in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive is planned in the reserve. You are likely to spot the Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Grevy Zebra, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich, Elephants, Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. In the evening drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Lunch and dinner at Samburu Sopa Lodge/Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.
